Yes, therapy sessions are typically scheduled during the school day at a time that minimizes disruption to academic learning. Therapists coordinate with teachers and staff to find a suitable time for each student.

School-based outpatient therapy provides mental health support for students within their school setting. Licensed therapists work with students to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges while coordinating with parents and school staff to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Is school-based therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy sessions are awarded the same level of confidentiality as they would as being seen in an office. With permission therapists may also collaborate with teachers and school counselors when necessary to support the student’s well-being within the school setting. Just as in the office setting there are legal and ethical exceptions, such as concerns about safety (harm to self or others) or mandated reporting of abuse.

We accept various insurance plans and offer private pay options. Please visit our outpatient page for a list of questions to ask when calling your insurance to verify coverage.
  • How long does therapy usually last?
